Today I propose a challenge and, thus, create a new section within this blog, The challenge of the week. One of the most influential modern writers is, without doubt, Parsons who belongs to the functionalist paradigm, therefore technical interest is to predict and assess. While it is considered the founder of any paradigm, Durkheim puts it next to the functionalist paradigm, which develops a theory that recreates the functionality.
Well, as I was explaining to the beginning of the entry, I propose a challenge is that today, from the kind of structure and social change of the degree in sociology, the professor said that in his opinion, this is one of the books difficult to understand because of their vocabulary and technicality.
According to him, Parsons uses a language of a mathematician to explain social concepts and for this reason that his work is difficult to read. So the challenge is this, I propose to all our fans and readers to download this book, read it, and through your comments expongáis the conclusions you have arrived. Within a week we'll post the summary provided by the teacher and we can see what were the conclusions reached by him and we compare them, and so check if it is true that one of the most difficult books to read.
